Humbled Trader is a popular day trader on Youtube.
She recently launched Humbled Trader Academy and it's pretty pricey to join.
Before buying I'm sure you want to know if it's a scam or not.
That's what this review will answer.
Additionally, you'll get insights into Humbled Trader that you won't find elsewhere.
You'll know if this program is right for you by the time you're done reading.
Let's get into it!
Humbled Trader Summary
Owner: Shay
Price: $1490
Rating: 2/5
Do I Recommend? No
Summary: When it comes to trading programs you have to separate the person selling the product and the product.
Shay seems like a nice enough person and her content on day trading is entertaining.
However, this course is way too expensive, has a bad refund policy and teaches the worst way to trade imaginable.

8 Things To Know About Humbled Trader
Before we get into what Humbled Trader is offering, let's take a look at some important background information.
Here's what I think is most important about this program:
1) It Focuses On Day Trading
There's a lot of different trading strategies out there.
Of all the ways to trade, though, day trading has to be the worst.
Day trading has exploded in popularity over the past few years for a lot of reasons.
People were stuck at home during the pandemic and many gurus sold the fast riches lifestyle to gullible consumers.
But day trading rarely leads to riches and it's never done fast for those that make it work.
There's a lot of reason not to like day trading.
2) Day Trading Has A Low Success Rate
Do you remember the GameStop fiasco from early 2021?
A bunch of traders figured out hedge funds were shorting Gamestop's stock and decided to buy a bunch of stocks to inflate the price.
This was planned on online internet communities like Reddit and other places.
I was watching an interview of one of the main guys leading the short squeeze and during the interview he remarked day trading was just something he did on the side.
He was a window installer and only had $600 in GameStop stock.
Most of the people trading the stock only had accounts that ranged between a few hundred to a few thousand.
What these small retail investors did was remarkable but almost none of these people really ever made anything significant from day trading beyond this one event.
The point I'm trying to make is day trading is incredibly hard to succeed with and most people lose money instead of make money.
In fact, it's estimated that only 1% to 4% of day traders make anything after all fees are accounted for.
3) You Need A Lot Of Capital To Start Day Trading
Another negative about day trading is it's highly regulated and you need $25,000 in your trading account to make more than 3 trades a week.
If you go under $25,000 you can only make 3 traders per week.
Because of this you'll need around $30,000 to start day trading.
That's a pretty decent amount of money to risk.. especially since day trading has such a low success rate.
If you were to put $30,000 into an index fund and just leave it alone for 20 years it would be worth around $150,000.
That's not bad!
4) Day Trading Is Very Time Consuming
Another thing people seem to underestimate is how time consuming and difficult day trading is.
This isn't really something you'll have an easy time doing if you have a busy life.
If you're going to commit to day trading you have to treat it like a full time job.
This means waking up at the crack of dawn because markets open at 9 AM.
Most of the work you do as a day trading is before the markets open. You need to come up with your trading plan, read the news and get ready.
The first couple of hours of the market is when trading is the most volatile.
If you don't have 5 or more hours a day to devote to this day trading isn't going to work.
Again, this is why long term investing will always be superior to day trading.
5) Shay Is The Creator Humbled Trader
Shay is an Asian immigrant that currently lives in Vancouver, Canada.
She's the creator of Humbled Trader.
Overall, I have mixed feelings about her and what she does.
6) Shay Calls Out Fake Gurus
Day trading is where wolves go to eat sheep.
The marketing on some of these programs is incredible and they really know how to sell to naïve people.
The average day trading guru will show off their expensive cars and houses to appeal to people's desires to be rich.
Almost every person who does this is a scammer.
One thing I like about Shay is she's not like these people.. she even goes as far as to make fun of them.
Here's one of her more popular videos satirizing day trading gurus who try to scam people out of their money:
The more people who call out these scammers the better.
7) She's Honest About Day Trading Lifestyle
Another thing I like about Shay is she's honest about what her life is like day trading.
She doesn't show off a million dollar house and car and pretends to own these things from little work.
She recognizes that day trading takes serious commitment and will take up a lot of your day.
Here's a video she made detailing her daily routine:
This is what being a day trader is like.
It's getting up early, studying and planning for hours, etc.. it's not a glorious job.
A lot of it is just looking at charts and things like that.
8) Makes More As A Content Creator
This is something that I come across time and time and time again.
Many trading gurus make a lot more money creating content and selling courses than they do actually trading.
Some even don't trade at all and make millions selling educational material.
This is most likely the case for Shay.. in fact I'm almost 100% certain it is.
Humble Trader has a remarkable 800,000+ subscribers:
Overall, she has 35,000,000+ views on her videos and that would mean hundreds of thousands of ad revenue for Shay.
She makes a ton with her Academy and she must have brand deals as well.
Shay is most likely a millionaire from this channel.
I doubt she built her wealth through day trading or anything like that.

My Thoughts On Humbled Trader Academy
There's a lot to unpack with the training program.
Here's my thoughts on the Humbled Trader Academy:
Only For Complete Beginners
I'd never recommend anyone get started with day trading.. so if you're new to trading and investing, look elsewhere.
However, if you're dead set on starting day trading this program is geared towards beginners.
If you have even a basic knowledge of day trading I would stay away from this course.
Only the most inexperienced traders will get any benefit from it.
Way Too Expensive
This is probably the biggest negative of Humbled Trader Academy.
In fact, I showed a video up top of Shay mocking people that do this exact thing.
She doesn't sell indicators like the satire video but still.. she's clearly making a ton of money from her audience with this training program.
$1490 is an insane price for beginner trading education.
I mean if you go on to Amazon and look for a day trading book you get the following:
I have Kindle Unlimited so all of these books (with thousands of positive reviews) are free for me.
Even if you didn't have Kindle Unlimited these books are as cheap as $10.
The training and knowledge in these books surpass anything Humbled Trader is going to put out.
You can easily learn the same stuff with any of the products above.
There's just no way in hell I could justify spending $1490 for the training in Humbled Trader Academy.
Heavy On Technical Analysis
If you could have a mentor teach you how to trade and invest would pick Warren Buffet or Humbled Trader?
I think we both know the answer to this question.
Warren Buffet has famously stated he thinks technical analysis is a scam.
He basically thinks you can find a pattern or chart to justify any trade.
Many other trading masters say the same thing.. Peter Lynch is an example of this.
Humbled Trader is very heavy on technical analysis and chart reading.
Again, day traders have a very low success rate and this is part of it.
You'll never get consistent trades if you're just looking at charts all day. You need to actually investigate the company you're buying stocks in.
Weak Refund Policy
One thing I dislike is when people charge obscene prices for their course and don't offer refunds.
Shay has a refund policy, which is better than no refund policy, but it's a weak one.
You only have 10 days to get your money back and you can't have gone past the first couple of units.
My position is simple: If you make so much trading and think you have a great course, why have a refund policy with so many terms?
Why not just make it a no questions asked for 30 days?
If you believe in your product your refund rate is going to be low any way.
She's Got A Lot Of Simps
When I write these reviews I like to look for customer insights and reviews.. ones that aren't on the creator's website.
You can't really trust those testimonials.
This is a new product so there's no customer reviews out there.
However, she had a community that she used to run and many people reviewed that program.
And man.,
Shay has a lot of simps that attack anyone that gives her a bad review.
Most of these reviews say something general like "I learned a lot from Shay" or something like that.
However, rarely does anyone talk about their actual results.
I doubt many people become profitable traders following her.

Humbled Traders Pros And Cons
Humbled Trader Conclusion
I like Shay personally.
She has a bubbly personality and she's easy to understand. Her Youtube channel is very interesting and some of her videos are great.
If you're an absolute beginner her Youtube channel is worth following.
But that's really where I stop recommending her.
Her course may help newbies but in no way would I recommend you buy it.. no matter what your skill level is.
There's so many alternatives out there where you can learn day trading if you really want to do so.
There's books, Youtube channels, cheaper courses and more.
And you shouldn't be trying to learn to day trade anyway.
Here's A Better Opportunity
I'd pass on Humbled Trader Academy.
There's better programs out there and better places to get tips on trading.
